Trauma affects the ways we are able to relate to ourselves, others, and our world. It informs the ways we view our relationships and those we are in relationship with. It impacts our ability to hold boundaries, be emotionally intimate, and practice accountability.
We all have trauma living in our systems. Be it complex, intergenerational, ancestral, collective relational, developmental, or relational. Because of this we need to not only have ways of processing our own trauma, but also learn new ways of relating with both ourselves and others.
This 11-part series is one way for us to do just that :: examining the ways we currently relate that may be ultimately harmful and begin to learn new ways of being in relationship with ourselves, others, and our world in a trauma informed and aware way.
Each three-week module will explore three aspects of ways trauma impacts our relationships and will offer tools to begin to shift into new ways of being. You can pick and choose which modules you want to participate in or if you like, you can register for all the modules in the current trimester, or you can register for all eleven (descriptions below).
These shorter modules are meant to be an introduction to these topics, and while we will be going deep, it is also true that this work is ongoing and takes time, intention, and practice for us to change our ways of being with ourselves, others, and our world.
Modules
Each week you will receive an email exploring that week’s topic. We will also meet weekly on a 60-minute live group call on Zoom on Tuesdays, starting at 3:30pm Pacific (US) time. Calls will be recorded and a link to the recording will be made available within one week of the call.
