Trauma affects the ways we are able to relate to ourselves, others, and our world. It informs the ways we view our relationships and those we are in relationship with. It impacts our ability to hold boundaries, be emotionally intimate, and practice accountability.
We all have trauma living in our systems. Be it complex (devlopmental, relational, and or attachment), intergenerational, ancestral, collective relational. Because of this we need to not only have ways of processing our own trauma, but also learn new ways of relating with both ourselves and others.
This three month group is one way for us to do just that :: examining the ways we currently relate that may be ultimately harmful and begin to learn new ways of being in relationship with ourselves, others, and our world in a trauma informed and aware way.
During our time together we will be focusing on the ideas of trauma bonding, enmeshment, and how it impacts our autonomy and ability to relate in nourishing and nurturing ways with ourselves, with others, and out in the world.
