What would it feel like to embrace your power?
To heal the generations of mother-wounds within you?
To listen to your own embodied knowing?
Take back our power. Own our embodied knowing. Love our sisters and mothers and daughters with the fiery passion that is our birthright.
Hold our bodies as sacred. Honor the wisdom within. Heal the wounding of the generations.
Grieve, embrace, and celebrate all that was lost, all that could have been, all that is.
For 12 months (March 1, 2017 through February 28, 2018), we will circle together and
- Accept the gifts of the women who came before us and heal the wounds that has been passed down through the generations
- Connect to our bodies, embracing them and loving them and knowing their power and wisdom
- Embrace our Feminine Source, her wisdom and her love
- Form a circle of witnessing, support, and love with other women who are ready for this journey
- Transform our ways of thinking and being in the world, seizing our power, our strength, and our Truth
The first three fourths of my life I was tied deeply into the patriarchal bias of our culture. I shoved down my femininity, denying it in so many ways. I strangled my feminine voice and allowed the masculine to be in control, always. I connected deeply to the men in my life while disregarding the women. My internalized misogyny ran deep and I am still working to unpack it all.
After the birth of my daughter, and the death of my mother a year later, things changed, I changed. Slowly, so slowly, I have shaken off the shackles of patriarchy and have been actively embracing new ways of being in this world. This has included deeply connecting to my feminine self. It has meant unraveling stories I had held so tightly about women, our place in the world, and our power and strengths (or lack of). It has meant gaining new perspectives of the ideas of facts vs. fiction, reality vs. fantasy, and intuition vs. science (and really the vs. /either-or mentality in general).
Part of this unraveling has included deeply connecting to my feminine ancestors, the women who came before both through biology and through culture. It has involved analyzing relationships, learning more about history (and what isn’t in our history books), coming to understand that facts are fickle and often intuition holds more truth and reality than science. It has involved connecting to my body, my creativity, and my spirituality. There has been play and work, tears and laughter, grief and celebration. It is a long journey and I am quite certain it won’t be over until I take my last breath.
This is what this circle is about. Connecting deeply to the women who came before us; looking at our relationships with other women in a new light; developing understanding and empathy for the experiences of the women who came before. It is about learning more about our Self, who we are and how we became her. It is about growth and expansion and understanding. It is about connection, embodied wisdom, and deeply knowing the power and strength of our feminine lines.
This circle is not a genealogy course. We will not get caught up in a lot of “facts” or specific details. We will rely on our intuition to make the connections we each need to make.
This circle is not about “fixing” us. It is not a fix for anything at all. It is about curiosity, gaining personal knowledge, and connecting deeply to our own body, mind and spirit. It is another possible step in our journey to reconnecting with the Feminine both within and outside of us. Yes, there will likely be transformation. Yes, my hope is at the end of the circle we will have been changed. Not in the ways the world says we need to be, rather in the ways of connecting to our own Self, our own wisdom, our own voice and our own knowing. That, at the end of our 13 weeks together, we will have a deeper trust of our own body, her wisdom, her stories, her knowing; a deeper understanding of our own mind and have some of our subconscious come out of the Shadows and in the Light; a deeper connection to our Feminine Source, her love, her softness and sharp edges, her power and strength. And of course, that we will each also continue our journeys of acknowledging, accepting and loving our Whole Self, Shadow and Light, Beautiful and Ugly, Messy and Neat.
In the immortal words of Anaïs Nin : I must be a mermaid, Rango. I have no fear of depths and a great fear of shallow living. This circle is about diving to our depths, deeply knowing our Self, and reconnecting to our Feminine line.
Because of the intensity and depth of this work, there is an application process to join us.
This application process is an opportunity for you to intentionally and mindfully determine if you can make the commitments of time, energy and your heart to this work.
To maintain the intimacy and strengthen the feeling of connection and togetherness, this circle will have no more 14 members plus me.

Who are we today, now, in this moment? How did we come into being? What stories do we hold within that are not consciously known?
When were we taught to turn against our mothers, daughters and sisters? When was our sacred circle broken? When were we evicted from our red tents?
What are our origin stories? What flames have we endured? What ashes will we rise out of?
We will explore these questions and more through body-centered mindfulness, creativity, stream of conscious writing and more. There will be special guests contributors (listed below), adding their voices, experience, and perspectives to our work, offering different ways for us to approach our ancestors, our grief, our joy, and our Self. We will examine our roots: the emotions, pains and strengths that have been passed down to us. We will expose the wounds, anoint healing salve and wrap with love, acceptance, and knowing. We will learn to mend the cracks and disconnects, to heal the pains of the generations, to become whole in who we truly are, who we are called to be, who we were born to be.

Through mind/body work, stream of conscious writing prompts, and deep personal reflection, Gwynn leads you to discover parts of yourself that you didn’t know existed, much less know you want to embrace. Gwynn’s videos are must-see-tv that add an element of insight to her work that provides many a-has to your own personal journey, causing you to reflect on who you want to be under the many layers with which you have protected yourself for so long. I’ve continued to work with Gwynn over and over again for the vast knowledge that she brings to her circles of women, as well as for the kindness, compassion, insight, depth, and ability to be real and truthful that she holds forth in herself and advocates for in her clients. Gwynn is an amazing leader, a generator of ideas and inspiration, and a safe place to land on the hard days. The topics with which Gwynn works are difficult, but she shines a light on them, reminds you to take care of yourself, and leads you through the rough patches with grace, making your journey one of profound learning about who you essentially are at your core. -APC
